FHA Forebearance Extension: If you have an FHA Loan and are already on a forbearance, you can now request an additional three months of forbearance.
Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac FHA loans are also extending the moratorium on single-family foreclosures as well as real estate evictions until the end of March 2021. Originally, these moratoriums were to expire the end of February.
“To keep families in their home during the pandemic, FHFA is allowing borrowers to be in COVID-19 forbearance for up to 15 months and extending [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s] foreclosure and eviction extension,” says Mark Calabria, director of FHFA.
